What, Why and How Do I Become a Mason?
The Masonic fraternity is one of the largest and oldest in history. First, we would like to assure you that Freemasonry is a moral institution. Its mission is to take in good men and help them to become better men. Thus, it is not a reform society. It does not exist and would not attempt to reform criminals, nor would such persons benefit from its teachings. Moreover, it is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values. Freemasonry is founded on the three great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, it aims to bring together men of goodwill, and good character, regardless of background and religious differences. Men of at least 18 years of age and of all faiths who are law-abiding, and of good character may petition a Masonic Lodge to become a member. You must not have been charged with or convicted of a felony. The members of the Masonic Lodge are never to recruit anyone for membership. To become a Freemason is quite simple, To Be One Ask One.
